Nicole Eggert files sexual assault police report against Scott Baio

Nicole Eggert files police report accusing Scott Baio of sexual abuse

Former Charles in Charge actress Nicole Eggert filed a formal police report against co-star Scott Baio on Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing her as a minor while the two worked together on the show.

Eggert says her teenage daugher has also been very supportive.

There has been no official reply from Baio yet, but previously, his rep had told TMZ: "We've been demanding since past year that Nicole Eggert bring her story to the authorities". "Nicole answered all of their questions for over an hour and told her story of sexual abuse by Scott Baio when she was a minor".

Baio believes Eggert meeting with cops is his ticket to vindication due to her changing the facts around her story multiple times.

Bloom continued to say that the Los Angeles police department interest in the case was entirely welcomed and that they would fully comply and cooperate with the police during the investigation period. She's now fielding requests on social media for anyone who may have witnessed the alleged incidents.

Baio, 57, responded with a video statement in which he denied the accusation.

"Charles in Charge" premiered in 1984 and ran for five seasons (with a break from 1985-1987), ending in 1990. Baio was in his mid-20s at the time while the actress was in her teens.

Phoenix Open: New attendance record shattered with a huge weekend showing
Woodland started the day three shots behind Fowler and raced up the leaderboard with five birdies on the front nine. After kicking off with 66-66-68, the California native began T2, one back of 54-hole leader Rickie Fowler .

"Working on the set of "Charles in Charge" from age 11 to 15 was no picnic; it was a toxic environment", Polinsky said in a statement read by longtime friend and "Talk" host Sara Gilbert.

Baio has vehemently denied the claims, saying that he and Eggert had consensual sex but that the encounter occurred when she was 18 or older. During the interview, actor Alexander Polinsky (who played Adam Powell on the sitcom), was with Eggert and said he witnessed some of the abuse.

"She wanted me to be her first so that she will be good for her boyfriend", he said in an interview with "Good Morning America" that took place the day after Eggert's "Today" show interview. "The most important thing is that people are standing by her". He claimed that she seduced him and it was so reasonable for him to behave the way he did.

"We've been demanding since past year that Nicole Eggert bring her story to the authorities", Baio's rep told the site.

Speaking on television last week Eggert said she had not aired the allegations previously because she was ashamed, and that she had been emboldened to speak up in the wake of the #MeToo movement.

The following week, Eggert appeared on both Megyn Kelly Today and The Dr. Oz Show, where she further detailed her claims. "I didn't want anybody to look at me and think I was weak".
