Jessica Falkholt's remains in critical condition

After losing family in car crash actress' life support turned off

The newspaper also revealed Craig Whitall, 50, the driver of the other auto involved who also died in the crash, had previously had a nine-year driving ban and at least 10 convictions for driving while disqualified.

The 29-year-old actress was involved in a Boxing Day crash while traveling with her parents and sister.

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt's life support has been turned off after she was critically injured in a horror crash.

Fighting for life in the Intensive Care Unit at St George Hospital, Jessica's family has been by her side ever since the accident and have been told by her surgeons that the actress' recovery is now a "waiting game".

On Thursday night, Jessica had her life support switched off weeks after the horrific accident on the New South Wales south coast, making her the fifth victim of the Boxing Day crash that killed her parents and sister.

Jessica has had several surgeries including the removal of a kidney and part of her skull.

California Rep. Darrell Issa not seeking re-election in 2018
Republicans, meanwhile, say they will benefit from the fight between the Democrats seeking to claim the seat. Darrell Issa on Wednesday announced his retirement from Congress after almost two decades of service.

Falkholt has been in a coma since the accident, and had her life support pulled on January 11, just one day after her mother and father were laid to rest. No decision is made without Jessica's wants in mind.

Paul Ponticello, brother to Vivian and uncle to Jessica, said he "always thought we would grow old together". "Their lives ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense", he said, reported by The Sydney Morning Herald. They are together and always will be.

Family members of Vivian's family flew from Italy for the service, while a service was also held for Lars in his homeland of Sweden.

The coronial investigation into the crash will focus on whether Mr Whitall was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.

Whitehall was reportedly driving home from a methadone clinic at the time of the crash, which allegedly saw him veer into the other lane and hit the Falkholt family.
