Aspiring rapper, Palm Beach County retiree become buds through 'Words with Friends'

Spencer Sleyon and Rosalind Guttman meeting for the first time after playing over 300 games on the Words With Friends app together

A rapper from New York City who formed an unlikely friendship with an 81-year-old over an online word game has finally met his opponent.

The pair were randomly selected to play against each other on the Facebook game, and then played over 300 games together.

For anyone who needed reminding that not everything about the internet is a awful garbage fire, please allow me to introduce you to Spencer and Roz. Find out more in the video above.

Amy Butler, a pastor at Riverside Church in Manhattan, arranged the trip for Sleyon and flew there with him.

FCC: "Desperate" net neutrality supporters won't delay vote
Under Pai's proposal, the Obama-era rules would be reversed and ISPs would only have to disclose blocking or throttling.

"We played [300-plus] games together, and [Roz] actually ended up becoming a good friend of mine", Tweeted Sleyon.

Spencer was quick to shut down any rumours that Roz may be in the lead when it comes to their Words with Friends battles. Photos of their reunion in West Palm Beach are just too heartwarming! Spencer, 22, posted pictures of their meet up to Twitter.

As of Monday, the tweet has more than 1 million likes, 240,000 retweets and 5,000 comments. When Sleyon was visiting his friend a while back, Butler overheard them talking about Guttman. "Today I got to go to Florida and meet her in person", he wrote. Their first meet and greet was as sweet as you can imagine.
