Bohemian Rhapsody director Bryan Singer fired from movie

Malek and Singer reportedly clashed over the director's absences and "unprofessionalism" on set and Fox Film chairman and CEO Stacey Snider and Fox Film vice chairman and president of production Emma Watts reportedly warned the filmmaker about the actor's complaints.

It is being reported that production for the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has been put on hold after the film's director/producer Bryan Singer had been fired.

Despite being over a year away, one of next year's most anticipated movies was quickly pegged to be already Bryan Singer's Bohemian Rhapsody. The film's cinematographer, Thomas Newton Sigel, stepped in as a substitute director during several of Singer's absences. The "growing tension" also led to an altercation between the two, T.H.R. reports; in one confrontation, Singer threw something at Malek.

Does she feel like it is a battle scar? She cherishes on/off beau Justin Bieber and is best friends with her ex, the Weeknd. The 25-year-old gave a candid acceptance speech where she spoke about her kidney transplant in September this year.

This might appear to be a shocking turn of events given Singer's good relationship with Fox where he previously shot the successful X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse back-to-back. However, the final straw reportedly came when Singer did not return to the London set after Thanksgiving, with reports indicating he was still in the U.S. Representatives for Singer didn't immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment. The studio has not confirmed when a new director will be named.

Things got so bad on set that another source on the film revealed that Singer claims he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder "because of the tensions on the set". There are two weeks of principal photography left on the film, T.H.R. notes.

With principal photography almost complete, the studio is reportedly still planning to release Bohemian Rhapsody on the originally scheduled date - December 25, 2018.
