Trump said to be souring on son-in-law

US President Donald Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner handed over documents related to the Russian Federation probe to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team, media reported.

As the legal noose around the Trump campaign tightens, tensions are reportedly soaring in the West Wing between the president and his son-in-law/top adviser.

Kushner attended the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between top Trump campaign officials and a cadre of Russian figures, including some with links to the Kremlin. You can't go any lower.

In a call Tuesday with former White House Chief strategist Stephen Bannon, Trump laid the blame for the expanding scandal surrounding Mueller's probe into Russian election interference squarely on Kushner's shoulders, Nunberg told Vanity Fair.

Former White House officials are barred from "contacting any part of the executive branch, including the president, with the intent to influence official decisions in any particular party matter in which the former official participated personally", according to the attorneys.

There continues to be widespread speculation that Trump might decide to fire Mueller and this act could ultimately lead to constitutional chaos and put the Congress Republican leaders in a risky political position.

Former White House staff members-whether encamped at Breitbart News or anywhere else-are constrained by 18 USC 207, which governs "restrictions on former officers, employees, and elected officials of the executive and legislative branches".

President Donald Trump believes his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, is giving him bad advice, according to a Vanity Fair report.

"Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history", Sam Nunberg, a former Trump campaign operative, told Vanity Fair.

The White House didn't respond to Vanity Fair's request for comment. The former advisor added, " I would say [Kushner] should go back to real estate in NY.

When Trump brought Jared into the White House, he gave his son-in-law - who had no prior experience in government or foreign service - a wide-ranging portfolio that included reforming the federal government, addressing veteran's affairs and serving as the president's main diplomatic point person on the Middle East and China.

The investigators are also looking for potential obstruction of justice in Mr Comey's firing, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

USA investigators are also reportedly looking into Tony Podesta, a prominent Democratic lobbyist, and Vin Weber, a former GOP congressman, the Associated Press reports.
