Trump comes ahead with fresh criticism of Russian Federation inquiry

On Sunday, Donald Trump lashed out in a series of tweets at the dossier and said something should be done about Hillary Clinton's links to the "fake dossier", as the U.S. president put it.

He said on Twitter Sunday that the "facts are pouring out" about links to Russian Federation by his former presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton. Sitting next to Podesta was his attorney Marc Elias, who worked for the law firm that brokered funding, CNN reported.

In a closed-door hearing with Senate Judiciary Committee investigators, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson said there was no connection between the firm's work on the dossier and its legal research on a lawsuit involving Russians who attended a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., his son-in-law and close aide, Jared Kushner, and former campaign chief Paul Manafort, sources familiar with the hearing said.

'There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out.

After Free Beacon stopped paying Fusion GPS, the research firm offered in April 2016 to continue researching Trump for the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, The Post reported last week.

Several top Democrats should be summoned to testify before the US Senate Intelligence Committee on the infamous Trump-Russia dossier, US Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) has said.

But in May 2016 - as Trump neared the top seat in the GOP's run for the White House - the Beacon wrapped up the investigation. But the president, who has often expressed anger that his allies were not doing more to protect him from the Russian Federation inquiries, made it clear he believed that Clinton should be pursued more forcefully, writing, "DO SOMETHING!"

Multiple congressional committees have undertaken their own investigations into Russian meddling in the elections, following up on the conclusion of US intelligence agencies that Moscow sought to sway the contest in favor of Trump - an idea that he has frequently dismissed as a hoax.

Last week Trump labeled the deal, which gave Russia 20 per cent of the U.S.'s uranium to Russia, 'Watergate modern age'.

Republican Susan Collins of ME, a Senate Intelligence Committee member, said Clinton's campaign chairman and the former Democratic Party head need to explain what they knew about the dossier.

On the other hand, it has emerged that the Clinton Foundation made millions from the Russian acquisition of the Uranium One company, which holds rights to 20 percent of USA uranium, while Russia was running a campaign of bribery and extortion around the deal; and that several major figures in the Obama administration may have played a role in either supporting it or concealing it from the public.

Collins says Elias should also be questioned.

At the same time, the House Oversight Committee has launched a probe into the Clinton email investigation that will examine, among other things, why Comey publicly announced that the bureau was investigating Clinton but then waited months before making a similar announcement about its inquiries into the Trump campaign.

Democratic lawmakers mostly stayed out of the Sunday fray after a week in which Clinton's 2016 campaign came under fresh scrutiny.

Nevertheless, alleged collusion between Trump and the Russians became the focus of the research after it was then taken over by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) later last spring, and handed over to former British spy Christopher Steele to drive forward. The New York Times has not confirmed that charges have been approved.
