Amazon to launch new delivery service that could curb theft

Reuters reports Key systems will be available to Amazon Prime members in 37 locations nationwide starting in November 8, but New Orleans is not yet on the list.

Amazon says its new service allows your packages to be delivered safely into your home and away from would-be thieves. The kit comes with an Amazon Cloud Cam (Key Edition) and an Amazon Key-compatible smart lock provided by Kwiskset or Yale. Some customers think so after the online retailer announced its newest product today: "Amazon Key". When a delivery person arrives with your shipment, he or she scans the item, which unlocks the front door. Customers can stay on top of in-home deliveries with real-time alerts and by watching the video of the delivery either in real time or after it's completed.

The service also allows customers to set the frequency and length of time for friends and family to access their home using the smart lock.

Aaron Rodgers Claims Anthony Barr Gave Him The Finger After Injuring Him
Last weekend, Hundley earned the start but the Packers couldn't get past the New Orleans Saints in Lambeau Field by a final score of 26-17.

This system is another way Amazon is making it easier for customers to receive packages quickly and securely.

Home Alone's Kevin would have a field day with this, wouldn't he? $249 is a reasonable price for a 1080p smart home security camera with night vision and the accompanying smart lock (which includes a keypad and traditional keyhole). If you're not convinced, you can watch the entire process on your phone using Amazon's Cloud Cam. Amazon Key's aim is to provide safety for customers' packages, that run the risk of being stolen when left outside on the sidewalk. The upbeat Pixar-esque jazz soundtrack and Buster Keaton comedy all makes it seem like giving Amazon access to your front door and using one of its cameras to monitor your home is no big deal.
