Fallen soldier's widow says she is 'very angry' about President Trump's call

U.S. Army Sgt. La David Terrence Johnson 25 was among four U.S. Green Berets killed in Niger on Oct. 4

La David Johnson, one of four USA soldiers killed in Niger, took place on Saturday, his tragic death politicized by the president, who continues to feud with a Congresswoman who was close to the family.

Lemon played a clip of Mrs Johnson's interview with ABC where she said she had been moved to tears with anger and frustration at the president's response. La David Johnson, 25, Staff Sgt. Bryan Black, 35, Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Johnson, 39, and Staff Sgt. Dustin Wright, 29 - were killed in the ambush.

Rep. Wilson, a Florida congresswoman, says she was in the auto with Myeshia Johnson on the way to Miami International Airport to meet the body of Johnson's husband when Trump called.

Wilson told NBC Miami on Tuesday that Trump's call was "insensitive", saying, "Everyone knows when you go to war you could possibly not come back alive, but you don't remind a grieving widow of that".

Myeshia Johnson told George Stephanopoulos that she was "very angry" about the call and that Trump struggled to remember her husband's name.

First Lady Melania Trump Donates Inaugural Ball Gown To Smithsonian
The gown also featured a slit skirt, ruffled accent trim from the neckline to the hem and a claret ribbon around the waist. The two got on the phone together and the incoming first lady explained that she needed the dress in under two weeks.

Johnson was one of four USA military personnel killed in Niger earlier this month in an ambush.

On the day of Johnson's funeral, the president continued to tweet about Rep. Wilson, calling her "wacky", which many found the height of disrespect as well as a distraction from the unusual circumstances surrounding Johnson's death. Myeshia Johnson appeared on "Good Morning America" on Monday and said, when he called her last week, "I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband's name, and that's what hurt me the most, because if my husband is out there fighting for our country and risked his life for our country, why can't you remember his name?" "What she said was 100 percent correct", the widow said. She revealed she was not allowed to see the body of her husband, who was killed with three other USA soldiers by terrorists in Nigeron October 4. "Why couldn't I see my husband?"

Johnson's death has become the focus of a feud between Trump and US Rep. Frederica Wilson, a Florida Democrat.

"Why would we fabricate something like that?" she later added. "I don't know what's in that box", she said. He said he was incensed that Wilson revealed details of what he deemed to be a "sacred" conversation. Trump wrote on Twitter, referencing one of the Green Berets killed earlier this month in an ambush in Niger.
