Justin Timberlake Addresses Returning to Super Bowl After 2004 Janet Jackson Exposure

Timberlake returning to SB halftime show

2018 will be Timberlake's third time performing at the Super Bowl halftime show, the most for any artist, when he takes the stage February 4 in Minnesota.

The Grammy award-winning singer revealed this on Sunday with a skit that saw him goofing off with Jimmy Fallon.

JT fits the bill of a halftime act to a T: a mainstream, relatively safe megastar (never mind the "D - - in a Box" skit on "SNL") who is readying the follow-up to his last album, 2013's "The 20/20 Experience", and will likely launch a big tour once his new record is ready to drop.

Timberlake previously performed during the 2001 halftime show as part of 'N Sync along with Britney Spears and Aerosmith.

And with rumours Janet Jackson had been banned from performing, the National Football League has come forward to squash them.

Ripples of joy over Pak. scribe's rescue
It was a result of this action on the part of Zeenat that the security forces were bound to agree that Hamid was in their custody. Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal also said that the tribal elders also played an important role in the recovery of Zeenat Shahzadi .

The two were referring to the 2004 incident during which Timberlake accidently exposed Janet Jackson's breast on stage during Super Bowl XXXVIII. That fine was appealed and ultimately voided, but the FCC implemented a five-second delay during live TV performances thereafter.

Timberlake is now working on his fifth studio album, which reportedly is inspired by his Memphis roots.

The 36-year-old Timberlake is expected to release a new album in early 2018, according to Variety, and will star alongside Kate Winslet in Woody Allen's upcoming film "Wonder Wheel", which is scheduled to be released December 1. He also was nominated for an Oscar for the song and performed it to open the Oscars ceremony earlier this year. While Timberlake was ostensibly the one responsible for the gaffe, Jackson received a majority of the scrutiny from the media.

The singer recently made appearances at the Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, Tennessee, on September 23 and Dave Matthews' Concert for Charlottesville in the Virginia community on September 24. Timberlake joins other recent headliners Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.

So was Janet Jackson "banned" from the Superbowl?
