Rex Tillerson cleans up after Trump on Iran but dodges 'castration' questions

Corker Blasts Trump Again: “You Cannot Publicly Castrate Your Own Secretary of State”

"President.' He and I have a very open, frank and candid relationship". "And he listens to those views", he added.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson speaks to members of the media at the State Department October 13, 2017 in Washington, DC.

"Yes, sometimes he changes his mind".

The secretary also says he's committed to executing the President's objectives, despite Tennessee Sen.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Sunday denied that Donald Trump's threat to tear up the Iran nuclear deal had weakened America's chance of reining in North Korea through diplomacy.

"You can not publicly castrate your own secretary of state", Corker, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told The Washington Post.

"He continued, ".Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!" It was after that session that Tillerson, in a private conversation with fellow United States officials, exasperatedly called the President a "moron", a comment that sparked new questions about the two men's relationship. He called the Trump administration "unconventional", including his role within it.

I wish there were more Republicans in Congress who would publicly condemn Trump for his despicable behavior and actions.

CPI rises 3.28% in September; August IIP jumps 4.3%
Meanwhile, the July IIP number was revised to 0.94 per cent from 1.2 per cent provisional estimates released last month. Among non-food categories, the "fuel and light" segment's inflation rate accelerated to 5.56 per cent in September.

The Secretary of State was forced this month to deny claims of a serious rift with Trump, after it was reported he had called the president a "moron".

"This is a town that seems to relish gossip, rumor, innuendo, and they feed on it". And they feed on it.

"I will work as hard as I can to implement his decisions successfully".

"You can not publicly castrate your own secretary of State without giving yourself that binary choice", Corker told the Post.

"The tweets - yes, you raise tension in the region [and] it's very irresponsible. But it's the first part" - the "castration" of Tillerson - "that I am most exercised about".

The reported tension between the president and the top US diplomat comes as the USA faces a slew of foreign policy challenges.

Tillerson's comments come after reports indicated that Trump's July 20 meeting at the Pentagon was a "difficult and tense" session.
