Paddock's girlfriend unaware of shooting plan

Stephen Paddock may have considered locations in Chicago and Boston before he fired on a crowd of thousands from a hotel room in Las Vegas

Paddock checked into his room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28, three days before carrying out his deadly attack, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said.

"We're told the hotel is now trying to figure out why someone on the staff broke policy by guaranteeing him a room with a view".

The owner says Danley was in the store with Paddock at the time but showed no interest in guns.

The reserved hotel rooms overlooked the festival's main stage, entrance, and exit - not vastly different than the positioning of the Mandalay Bay suite he eventually used to attack innocent Route 91 festival goers.

62-year-old Danley had been in the Philippines at Paddock's expense when he opened fire on a country music festival crowd on Sunday in the worst mass shooting event in modern United States history.

Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police separately said in an update that Paddock appears to have been living a secret life, where he spent years acquiring guns. She voluntarily flew back to the USA from the Philippines Tuesday night and met with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for hours of questioning.

Half a million displaced in 'critical humanitarian crisis' in Myanmar
A Myanmar official tally says hundreds of people died as violence consumed remote communities, including Rohingya, AFP reported. It considers the Muslims as illegal migrants from Bangladesh.

After photos emerged of Paddock's room, speculation abounded about a small piece of paper seen lying on a table in the room and whether it contained an explanation for the massacre. Once there, he wired her money to purchase a house.

The four officers were the first to see the shooter's body and one of them, Dave Newton, stated in the upcoming interview that the note was located near one of the windows that Paddock was shooting out of that he had smashed with a hammer. Through her lawyer, Danley insisted she thought this was Paddock's way of preparing her for a breakup.

Investigators believe the 64-year-old Paddock hired a prostitute in the days leading up to the shooting and were interviewing other call girls for information, a US official briefed by federal law enforcement officials said.

"I know that she doesn't know anything as well like us", said one of the sisters, who chose to remain anonymous.

"You have to make an assumption that he had some help at some point", Lombardo said, describing the attack as meticulously planned. He said that it was hard to believe that the weapons and ammunition found in his possession were acquired by him alone.
