Las Vegas shooter booked Chicago hotel during Lollapalooza

Las Vegas Gunman May Have Eyed Lollapalooza as Target

Although Stephen never checked in to his booked hotel rooms (thankfully), it's scary to think of what could have been, considering the view he had.

It's thought the bookings come as Paddock "scouted" major concerts including Lollapalooza and near Boston's Fenway Park before settling on Las Vegas' Route 91 Harvest country music festival.

TMZ is reporting that Paddock booked two hotel rooms at the Blackstone Hotel across the street and specifically requested that the rooms face the park.

Earlier Wednesday, the lawyer for Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, said Danley had no idea Paddock was planning any violence.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo says it appeared Stephen Paddock had planned to survive Sunday's attack and had an escape plan.

Luckily, he never showed up to his reservation.

The tanks are reportedly located only 1,100 feet from the concert site where Paddock killed 58 people on Sunday evening, and they have now been examined by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents as they continue to investigate the atrocity.

Ghana start with a win
Perhaps playing the part of a polite guest, Colombia coach Orlando Restrepo demurred on his side's prospects for the game. It has been a long time getting to this stage but I believe every good thing takes time before yielding results.

Tuesday night: Danley arrives back in the USA from the Philippines.

To the Texas brokers who met him in 2004, Stephen Paddock was an unremarkable man looking to buy an unremarkable property near Dallas, hardly distinguishable from other casually dressed Californians who flocked to the area to make investments.

Paddock sent Danley on a trip to her native Philippines before the attack, and she was unaware of his plans and devastated when she learned of the carnage while overseas, she said in a statement.

The Las Vegas shooting could change outdoor concert venues forever going forward, as many are considering new measures such as putting up more barriers to protect concertgoers from outside attacks. An estimated 400,000 people, including former First Daughter Malia Obama, attended the four-day music festival in August. "You can't ever guarantee something but you also can't not go about your life as you would normally and you can't let these sick people win", said Radcliffe.

Because so few people knew Paddock well, investigators will have a harder time probing his background for clues or hints he may have dropped about his plans, Southers said.

"We have been down each and every one of these paths", McMahill said.
