Bayern Munich Appoints Jupp Heynckes As Coach

Jupp Heynckes is one of the most successful German managers of all time

Heynckes succeeds Carlo Ancelotti after he was sacked in the wake of a 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, with widespread reports claiming the Italian lost the support of several key players.

Two German coaches are believed to be in the running to manage Bayern in the long-term. "We are convinced that he is exactly the right man to lead the team from the current situation back to success to achieve our goals".

Heynckes previously coached Bayern from 1987 to 1991, briefly in 2009 and then between 2011 and 2013.

Italian Ancelotti took over last season, but was sacked last week after the German champions slipped to second place in the league after twice squandering a two-goal lead in consecutive games.

"I wouldn't have returned to any other club in the world, but FC Bayern Munchen are very close to my heart", Heynckes said in a statement on the club website.

Bayern Munich have created 105 chances in the Bundesliga this season.

Las Vegas shooter reportedly wired $100K to Philippines
The Daily Mail newspaper in the United Kingdom published several photos taken in Paddock's room after the shooting. The Las Vegas shooter's girlfriend says in a statement that she knew him "as a kind, caring, quiet man".

"I will not go back to the club". "I don't want to come back earlier than that but inside I still want to coach every single day, therefore I don't think I would join a national team".

1 - His return to Bayern is also an historic first for the Bundesliga, as no coach has ever taken charge of the same club four times in the German top flight.

This would be the 72-year-old's fourth spell with the German giants. "I'm looking forward to it".

Heynckes considered retiring in 2013 after he was replaced by Pep Guardiola and at the time said he would not coach again in the Bundesliga. He later announced his retirement.

The first is Julian Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim and former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is the second.

It was along with Hermann and Gerland that Heynckes led Bayern to the treble.
