The other coaches charged are Anthony "Tony" Bland, from the University of Southern California; Lamont Evans, from Oklahoma State University and formerly the University of SC; and Emanuel "Book" Richardson, from the University of Arizona. Of course, we will cooperate with investigators and we look forward to justice being done in this case.
Evans is one of four coaches charged across the country, accused of accepting bribes from consultants and agents in exchange for access to the best players.
Among those also charged were James Gatto, director for global sports marketing for basketball at Adidas; Rashan Michel, who runs an Atlanta apparel company; New Jersey money manager Munish Sood; and Christian Dawkins, a former ASM Sports agent who prosecutors said was sacked in May. "They knew that the corrupt coaches in return for bribes would pressure the players to use those services and they also knew that when these players turned pro, that would mean big bucks for them in professional fees and profits".
Evans joined the Oklahoma State coaching staff in 2016.
Prosecutors said Gatto and others funneled $100,000 from Adidas, identified as "Company-1", to the family of an elite high school prospect so he would play at an Adidas-sponsored school matching the description of the University of Louisville. He will be staying with us as the associate head coach at Oklahoma State University.
Evans, along with USC assistant Tony Bland, Arizona assistant Emmanuel Richardson and Auburn assistant Chuck Person, allegedly accepted bribes from financial advisers, agents and executives.

Evans was retained and elevated to associate head coach by current Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton, a former USC player and assistant coach.
The complaint also alleges Evans believed he had the ability to "bury" other advisors if they tried to recruit or sign his players.
"These are serious accusations that are not consistent with University of SC values". He is accused of paying a coach to pay a player to sign with his school.
"We gotta be very low key", said the coach, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Court documents indicate Evans wanted $2,000 a month for his work, but might expect $5,000 to $7,000 in additional payments for delivering a player.
Evans' next hearing is October 10 in NY.
