Tennessee senators back Graham-Cassidy bill

On Friday, the Republican senator announced he would vote against the Graham-Cassidy bill.

Flake said he has "the utmost respect" for McCain, but disagreed with him on Graham-Cassidy, which he called "the best shot I've seen for a repeal and replace bill to get signed into law".

They also say the cuts to Medicaid would cause millions of Americans to lose their coverage - and the changes would weaken individual insurance markets, making coverage more costly. "Without a full CBO score, which won't be available by the end of the month, we won't have reliable answers to any of those questions".

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has already declared he is a "no" vote, while Republican senators Lisa Murkowski, of Alaska, and Susan Collins, of ME, have both leaned strongly against the bill.

On Friday, Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican from ME, also inched closer to closing the door on Graham-Cassidy, saying that she was "leaning against", the bill, according to a report from The Portland Press Herald.

Pence touted Graham-Cassidy's merits in his remarks, saying children would be able to stay on their parent's health care plans until they are 26 years old (a holdover from Obamacare); the bill would provide the largest-ever expansion of health savings accounts; and people with pre-existing conditions would get the care and coverage they need "no exceptions". Last week, she said she was leaning against Cassidy-Graham.

The latest iteration, sponsored by Republican Sens.

Senator Rand Paul has issued statements that he will not be "bribed nor bullied" into supporting the bill.

According to the survey, 56 percent of respondents said they support the Affordable Care Act over the proposed Graham-Cassidy bill, compared with 33 percent who favor the GOP legislation. Bill Cassidy. The senator appeared on Kimmel's show last May and promised to oppose any bill that fails to protect those with preexisting conditions, who are now protected from being denied coverage or charged more under Obamacare.

Republicans like Ducey and Flake said that returning control to the states will solve the top-down control of Obamacare that they said led to skyrocketing premiums and falling numbers of companies willing to offer insurance. The bill's sponsors as well as the President, are determined to find the votes after months of repeal efforts, and time is nearly up.

"Alaska had a 200% plus increase in premiums under ObamaCare, worst in the country", Trump tweeted.

JSen. John McCain talks with reporters as he walks to a meeting.

One of the first people to praise McCain for his decision was late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel. President Trump is referring to South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (R) as L.G. Graham is one of the architects behind the bill and a good friend of John McCain.

With Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) already having come out against the bill as an insufficient repeal, that leaves the GOP with no margin for error. "But that has not been the case", he said.

Graham-Cassidy saws off all three legs of that stool.
