Man who shot New Castle officer dies after officer returns fire

2 Officers Including 1 Woman Shot in New Haven Suspect Arrested

Police say there is no further threat to people in general.

Two police officers in New Haven, Connecticut were shot while responding to an earlier shooting incident Saturday morning, city officials tell CBS Connecticut.

Both were taken to nearby hospitals, where the officer was being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

A second officer was struck by the gunfire and wounded.

Trump claims Chinese banks won't do business with North Korea
Trump said the measure would also disrupt other trade avenues for North Korea in efforts to halt its nuclear weapons program. Believe it or not, Kim's statement actually used gentler language than his propaganda specialists have favored in the past.

Officers were met by a man who had an "unknown, dark object" in his hand. "The male adult did not comply with the officer's commands".

New Castle police said as their officers ran up to call off the dog, Burke pulled a handgun and fired a shot at close range into the chest of one of the officers. None of the videos appear to show the suspect holding a gun.

The officer fired a Taser at the advancing suspect to no effect, Moore said. At some point, the man then reached toward the back of his waistband and made a "threatening statement", which caused the officer to believe the man was arming himself, authorities said. "Fearing for his safety, the officer discharged his firearm several times at the male adult, striking him once in the upper torso area". Authorities said it is still unclear if the man was actually armed during the incident.

After daybreak Saturday, sheriff's detectives and La Verne officers stood within a cordoned-off crime scene at the Amber Ridge Apartments collecting evidence. Tips may also be submitted anonymously to L.A.
