Janet Jackson promises something special for Houston

Janet Jackson

A concertgoer shared some videos from the concert, one of which featured a moment where the new mom was talking about her return to touring.

Among Jackson's multi-outfit, form-fitting ensemble for the concert were her signature all-black outfits as well as a 90s-esque pair of belted blue jeans paired with a white top.

Normally, fans really wanted to applaud the star, and many posted Twitter recordings of the execution.

Jackson tweeted a video Wednesday night assuring fans the show will go on there, despite the devastation from Hurricane Harvey.

On Friday (September 8), the music icon made a surprise appearance at the George R. Brown Convention Center, where almost 1,600 Hurricane Harvey evacuees are now gathered.

The Poetic Justice actress was forced to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour in May 2016 when she announced she was pregnant.

Janet's first concert in the area will take place Saturday night at the Toyota Center in downtown Houston, and she plans to donate all proceeds from the show to local flood relief charities.

Janet Jackson is back like she never left as she made her return to the stage since giving birth to son, Eissa, in January - but it's her fantastic post-baby body that got people talking.

According to KHOU.com, Janet was accompanied by her brother, Randy, and Houston Mayer Sylvester Turner as she toured the facility. Three months after the baby's birth, the couple split. Jackson holds the record for the most consecutive top 10 hits on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by a female artist, with 18 hits.
