Andrew Luck could be out beyond Week 1?

There was speculation that Luck's injury was worse than the Colts organization has led on; however, this roster move indicates that there is at least a timeline (or hope) that Luck will be back by Week 6 at the latest.

Brissett, depending on how quickly he picks up offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski's offense, should push Tolzien and Stephen Morris for snaps until Luck returns.

"I will be better than I was coming into this", Luck said, via the team's official website.

The Colts must decide by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET whether or not to put him on the active roster or on the physically unable to perform list. If Luck were to stay on the reserve/PUP list into the season, he would miss the first six games.

Greece 1-2 Belgium
In the second half we got more space and we scored a goal, but it could have gone the other side of the post. But one minute after that, Lukaku headed into the far corner after being picked out by Thomas Meunier.

With less than two weeks to go until the regular season, Andrew Luck still has not returned to practice. The Colts' starting quarterback has been on the sidelines recovering since he underwent surgery earlier this year to fix an issue with his right shoulder that had been bothering him since the 2015 season. "He will be back and he'll have a long and great career with us".

Could Brissett really start Week 1? His last practice action was in December of 2016.

That changed just eight days before the start of the regular season. The Patriots' options to keep him would be an extension or even the unorthodox move of franchise tagging their backup-but if they believe that he's the unusual guy who could maintain success post-Brady, they'll find a way to make it work.
