Texas A&M blowing out UCLA through one half at the Rose Bowl

The most memorable happened when cornerback Deshawn Capers-Smith was in position to intercept Rosen's pass, only for it to sail through his hands to Andrews for the 42-yard strike that cut it to 44-31 with 8:12 to play.

The Aggies lost despite rushing for 382 yards; A&M rushed for 286 yards in the first half.

On Sunday, they chose to get the collapse over with in one game, rather than wait until November for their fall from grace.

The offense did not come alive until the late third quarter, at which point Texas A&M held a 44-10 lead. Game over, right? Well, not if UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen had anything to say about it. Williams broke off a 72-yard run early in the second quarter before he reeled off a 61-yard touchdown run just before halftime.

However, a UCLA defense that struggled throughout the majority of the contest needed to stand strong during the comeback and give Rosen a chance to do the impossible.

Josh Rosen faked a spike and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Lasley with 43 seconds remaining and UCLA overcame a 34-point deficit to stun Texas A&M 45-44 on Sunday night at the Rose Bowl.

"What was most impressive about Jaelan and Darnay ... was their demeanors", said coach Jim Mora.

The Aggies used two freshman quarterbacks, Kellen Mond and Nick Starkel, with Starkel leaving the game in the third quarter with an apparent leg injury. Hopefully they won't need anymore 34 point comebacks, but with Rosen at the helm these Bruins can't be counted out. Wilson led the group with 15 catches for 208 yards. UCLA recorded five sacks in the second half, including three in the fourth quarter, and held A&M to just 3-of-18 passing after the break. We were asking them to do some things that are very tough to do. Rosen did what he does best, though, and put the team on his back.
