Naby Keita Reportedly to Join Reds Next Summer

Liverpool star Naby Keita will play for the Reds next season

Liverpool have been keen on signing Keita all summer long, but Leipzig was adamant that the 22-year-old was not for sale.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has kicked-off the countdown to the transfer window closing on Thursday by agreeing a deal for Keita - but the Red Bull Leipzig star will not move to Anfield until NEXT summer.

The deal will surpass the £35 million club record fee the Merseyside club paid Newcastle to sign Andy Carroll.

The fee will break the club's transfer record, which was set earlier this summer with the £36.9m signing of Mohamed Salah.

Now Liverpool are concluding the deal ahead of time and, according to the BBC, are paying a premium on top of the £48m release clause to get it done.

Iraqi forces poised to take full control of ISIS stronghold
France is a main partner in the USA -led coalition helping Baghdad fight the militants who seized parts of Iraq and Syria in 2014. Obaidi added that most of Tal Afar residents had fled towards Turkey, noting that many districts in the city had been deserted.

But Liverpool, fearful of rival interest in the player, have made a decision to pay a significantly higher fee to ensure he joins them.

RB Leipzig finished second behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last season, meaning they qualified for the Champions League group stage.

Monday's reported development would indicate Liverpool have accepted defeat in their attempts to recruit Keita for the current season but that their interest is sufficiently strong to deem the player worth waiting for.

Leipzig had been refusing to sell the player all summer, leading to disruption in their own camp, and finally bowed to pressure from Liverpool in order to have ease their pressure.

The two clubs have annoyed each other throughout the Philippe Coutinho saga and this latest development won't ease relations one bit.
