Pixel 2 To Use HTC's Trademark Phone Squeeze Feature

Google Pixel 2: Revealed in HTC FCC filing w/ Android 8.0.1, 'Active Edge' squeeze feature

Nonetheless, now that the FCC report hinted that HTC is involved in Pixel 2's manufacturing process, people started speculating even more than usual. Unfortunately, there's a request for confidentiality pertaining to various diagrams and descriptions, so there aren't any photos of the device.

Elsewhere the OS is listed as Android 8.0.1 with an August security patch.

A year later, on August 15, the 2017 Google Pixel 2 has stopped by the same body, giving us details of the expected specs and features as well as confirming that the phone's release is drawing closer. Google Pixel 2 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 64GB ROM. Google Pixel 2, which has reportedly been codenamed "walleye", was previously revealed in an image by Blass on Twitter. The search toggle at the top right has also apparently been replaced by a permanent, full-width search bar.

Pittsburgh Being Considered For 2026 FIFA World Cup
Lenarduzzi was managing the Vancouver 86ers of the Canadian Soccer League when the USA was awarded the 1994 tournament in 1988. In total, 49 stadiums in the United States, Mexico and Canada will be considered for inclusion in the official bid.

This is pretty interesting considering the fact that Android O's final Developer Preview 4 is still on 8.0.0, suggesting that the Pixel 2 will be ahead of the pack at launch itself. It is worth adding here that this is one storage tier that is missing from the Pixel and the Pixel XL. The FCC listing, besides revealing the aforementioned details, also revealed the smartphone to sport touch-sensitive side bezels, which will be going by the moniker "Active Edge". It's also possible that Google is testing an internal build which will be released to Pixels at a later point of time.

In the numerous documentation found on FCC, filed by HTC, it has been revealed that the phone will feature HTC U11-like squeeze functionality, but branded as "Active Edge" under a new "Languages, inputs and gestures" setting. This year as well, the Pixel devices are expected to debut in October. But the new phone might be devoid of a 3.5mm audio jack port, as Google intends to use the additional space for stereo speakers. The successor of Pixel XL is rumoured to come with a squeezable frame as well.
