Police arrest suspect from Paris vehicle ramming attack that injured 6

Six soldiers were injured, in Paris, when a vehicle plowed into them.

"He was driving the vehicle we were looking for and tried to flee", the source added, leading police to open fire.

"Six soldiers were injured in the incident, three of them suffered serious injuries".

The attack targeted soldiers from the Sentinelle security force which was created after Islamic terror attacks in 2015.

The incident took place around 8 a.m. local time outside military barracks in the northwest of the city.

"Incident in Levallois Perret: police operation underway".

Mr Balkany said he had no doubt that the "disgusting" act was deliberate.

Balkany claimed that the BMW "had prepositioned itself in the cal-de-sack (where the barracks located) and barrelled into them", adding that "the auto had accelerated very quickly".

Authorities said all six soldiers, two of whom are seriously injured, were taken to a military hospital in the Hauts-de-Seine area of France.
